Mat Pilates

Welcome

Discover the power of mindful movement with our Mat Pilates sessions. Whether you’re new to Pilates or looking to deepen your practice, our classes focus on improving core strength, flexibility, posture, and balance—all from the comfort of the mat. Guided by clear instruction and supportive energy, each class is designed to help you feel stronger, more centered, and rejuvenated.

What is Mat Pilates?

Mat Pilates is a form of low-impact exercise that focuses on building core strength, improving posture, increasing flexibility, and enhancing overall body awareness. Developed by Joseph Pilates, it’s performed on a mat using body weight and gravity for resistance—no machines or equipment required. Movements are slow, controlled, and guided by breath, helping to engage deep stabilizing muscles, particularly through the core, hips, and spine. It’s a versatile practice that can be adapted to suit all fitness levels, making it ideal for beginners as well as those with more experience.

At Principle Pilates, we offer a variety of Mat Pilates classes designed to meet you where you are in your fitness journey. Whether you're looking to strengthen and tone, improve mobility, or simply take time to connect with your body, our classes provide a welcoming, supportive environment. Led by certified instructors, each session focuses on proper technique, safe progression, and helping you feel stronger, more balanced, and more energized—both on and off the mat.
